Custody of Nature agreement was signed last July 4th between the Municipality of S\u00e3o Roque do Pico and the Regional Directorate for the Environment, under action C.3 &#8211; Pilot works to increase habitat for<em> Pseudanchomenus aptinoides<\/em><\/span> <span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"pt\" data-phrase-index=\"1\">and related ecosystem services.<\/span> <span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"pt\" data-phrase-index=\"2\">These actions aim at the renaturalization of pasture areas surounding Lagoa do Caiado (owned by the Municipality of S\u00e3o Roque do Pico), which serves as a water supply to the population of the municipality of S\u00e3o Roque do Pico.<\/span> <span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"pt\" data-phrase-index=\"3\">In the long term, this partnership is expected to bring benefits to both parties, since the work carried out will not only improve the availability of habitat to the endemic beetle <em>Pseudanchomenus aptinoides<\/em>, but also reduce runoff, improving water retention and infiltration<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"JLqJ4b ChMk0b\" data-language-for-alternatives=\"en\" data-language-to-translate-into=\"pt\" data-phrase-index=\"4\">at Lagoa do
