On 22nd March, LIFE BEETLES and LIFE IP AZORES NATURA\u00a0 participated in the 3rd Workshop on the Macaronesian Basin, under the theme \u201cSolutions and mitigation of biodiversity loss caused by climate change\u201d.<\/p>\n
During this workshop, the LIFE BEETLES and LIFE IP AZORES NATURA projects, both coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, were invited to present their projects and their contribution to nature conservation in the Azores, as well as their impact on the preservation of biodiversity and the fight against climate change.<\/p>\n
Good practices that generate successful results were debated, channels to facilitate public awareness were addressed, as well as policies that can be successfully implemented under the objectives related to biodiversity and climate adaptation.<\/p>\n
The LIFE BEETLES project aims to improve the availability and \ud835\ude29\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude23\ud835\ude2a\ud835\ude35\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude35 quality of three endemic beetle species in the Azores in the context of adaptation to climate change.
\nThe LIFE IP AZORES NATURA project aims to improve the conservation status of 32 fauna and flora species and 13 \ud835\ude29\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude23\ud835\ude2a\ud835\ude35\ud835\ude22\ud835\ude35\ud835\ude34 that are under threat according to the Birds and Habitats Directive by 2027.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":4646,"template":"","class_list":["post-4647","noticias","type-noticias","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
