Contact with nature and physical exercise are fundamental to adopting a healthy lifestyle.
To mark National Blood Donor Day and as part of the ๐๐ฏ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐บ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐๐ช๐ง๐ฆ initiative, the LIFE BEETLES project, coordinated by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Action, was challenged by the Terceira Island Blood Donors Association to organise an interpretive walk involving a class from the EBI de Angra do Heroรญsmo.
After a briefing on the commemorative day themes, the LIFE BEETLES project sensitised the young people to the importance of LIFE projects in the Region, to nature conservation, and to the work carried out by the project along the Furnas do Enxofre-Algar do Carvรฃo trail.
During the tour, the importance of Terceira island’s geological heritage was also highlighted in collaboration with the Azores Geopark.
