Regional Secretariat for Environment and Climate Action

The Regional Secretariat for Environment and Climate Action, hereinafter referred to as SRAAC, is the Regional Government's entity responsible for the environment subjects in Azores archipelago. Its mission is to ensure the maintenance of environmental quality, nature conservation., the protection of ecosystems, as well as the management of water resources and efficient land use planning.

Reginal Directorate for Environment and Climate Change

The Regional Directorate for Environment and Climate Change, hereinafter referred to as DRAAC, is the executive service of the SRAAC, responsible for implementing regional policies related to environmental management and quality, waste management, climate change adaptations, nature conservation and biodiversity, coordinating actions aimed at its implementation and promoting sustainable development.
