In early December, the LIFE BEETLES project received its sixth and final monitoring visit, carried out by the ELMEN EEIG consortium (Provision of assistance for the technical and financial monitoring of LIFE projects and thematic support).
The visit was also attended by Project Advisor Manuel Ramírez, representative of CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environmental Executive Agency), as well as the Regional Secretary for the Environment and Climate Action, Alonso Miguel.
Over three days, the project team presented the final results, the main challenges faced, and the solutions implemented to address them. The work carried out on the islands of Terceira and Pico was also demonstrated in the field, complementing the presentation of the progress of the actions across all the islands covered by the project (Terceira, Pico and Flores).
