The LIFE BEETLES project participated in the 15th Regional Meeting on Environmental Education (EREA), which took place on the island of Terceira between 1 and 3 March.
This event was promoted by the Regional Secretariat for the Environment and Climate Change, involving the Regional Secretariat for Education and Cultural Affairs, and included three days of lectures, workshops and field activities, which aimed to address educational strategies in the most varied environmental themes, such as climate change and biodiversity. It was also an opportunity to disseminate the educational offer of the LIFE BEETLES project, which was present in the promotion of three practical workshops: โ€œWalking through Biodiversityโ€, โ€œInsects under the magnifying glassโ€ and โ€œPlaying is also learningโ€.
The meeting was attended by 110 participants, including coordinators of Eco-Schools in the Region, and revealed a positive involvement between various public entities and institutions for an increasingly strong bet on education and environmental awareness of the population in general, with particular attention to the school community.
