The LIFE BEETLES project team promoted a clarification session in the Lajes das Flores Cityhall to inform and clarify the community about the works of nature conservation taking place in the riversides of this municipality.
This project has been carrying out multiple relevant actions in these areas, highlighting the removal of invasive flora, intending in the long term to make the ecological restoration of strategic points of this riparian 𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵, to improve 𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘵 conditions of the target species: the Ironclad beetle.
Although the actions will take place exclusively in Public Water Domain, the project took advantage of this session to summon the owners of private plots coinciding with the intervention areas to inform, clarify and create collaboration strategies between both parties.
