The LIFE BEETLES project carries out periodically the monitoring of invertebrates through two types of traps: pitfall and SLAM.
During August, pitfall traps were placed in the project’s areas where interventions have already occurred for the capture, transport and respective screening of these animals in the laboratory. With the sampling results, it is intended to assess whether the project’s conservation actions are having a positive impact on insect populations, more specifically, the species of beetles targeted by the project, ensuring their long-term safeguard.
